March Reading
How Green Was My Valley is a timeless classic set in South Wales at the turn of the century. It tells the story of the Morgans, a poor but respectable mining family, through the eyes of the youngest son, Huw Morgan. It is about his struggle toward manhood and the conflicting demands of faith, economics, education and family loyalty in a Wales caught in an irreversible shift from a pastoral to an industrialized society.
