Zoe signing books for Mary Strobbe

Zoe Ghahremani, author of The Sky of Red Poppies has graciously agreed to speak at our book club on June 26, our regular meeting date. This will be open to all members of the Club, so feel free to invite friends.

On May 1 she launched her second book, The Moon Daughter at Warwicks with a brief presentation and book signing.

Present were obviously many friends but more interesting to me was that all three of her grown children and her husband were there.

I have accumulated a small collection of signed first editions. Having attended many book signings, I can honestly say that Zoe is one of the most delightful, humble, fascinating, vibrant and intelligent authors I have ever met. Admittedly some are not well known, but some are, such as Thomas Wolfe, William Safire, Steven Pinker, Kathi Diamant, Le Ly Hayslip, B. Posner, and Ronald Takaki.
